We are pleased to announce that Conran and Partners are collaborating with America’s oldest clothing retailer, Brooks Brothers, in this year’s RIBA Regent Street Window Project.
Now in its sixth year, the project unites 13 flagship retailers with a like-minded RIBA practice to create 13 engaging architectural window displays.
With each retailer setting a unique brief, boundary and budget, the outcome is a wonderfully energetic public design exhibition seen by over three million people during September’s London Design Festival from 7th-27th September.
Our retail partner, Brooks Brothers, are best known for their rich heritage of textile innovation and inspiring entrepreneurial style.
During a game of Polo in England, Brooks Brothers discovered the button-down collar and famously introduced it to men’s tailoring; thus creating a true icon of fashion.
For this year’s window display, we will celebrate the button-down collar as a symbol of Brooks Brothers’ innovation through a hand-crafted installation evocative of flight.
Simon Kincaid, Project Director at Conran and Partners, says:
“Our installation will reflect the story of a brand who are driven as much by innovation as they are their renowned heritage, and combine creativity and craftsmanship in a dynamic and elegant form.”
