EXHIBITION EXPLORING ‘THE HUMAN AND THE BUILT’ OPEN UNTIL JUNE 26TH

For many years architectural photography has often been devoid of humans, devoid of life.
Space Invaders is a photography exhibition from RIBA Sussex and First Base exploring the ways in which we interact with architecture and how architecture interacts with us.
Curated by architect and director at Conran and Partners Paul Zara, arts consultant and writer Cara Courage and architectural photographer and film maker Jim Stephenson, Stephenson’s images are paired with those of guest photographers who responded to an open call for images of people using space. The pairings explore a series of themes including Play, Performance, Rest and Home to demonstrate the myriad of ways in which architecture is used around the world.
The guest photographers include John Maclean, Andy Spain, Anita Barrett, Darren O’Brien, Paul Russell, Rob Gifford, Heidi Kuisma and Sahil Lodha. The printing of the exhibition is sponsored by Spectrum. More information can be found here.
