Angler wins its first Michelin star
Angler – the Conran-designed fish restaurant at the top of D&D London’s South Place Hotel – has just won its first Michelin star, less than a year after opening.
The restaurant, which comprises a dining room, cocktail bar and terrace, sits on the seventh floor of the hotel, and offers its customers an unparalleled way to unwind at the heart of the City.
Angler presents three different ways to relax. The main restaurant space, featuring white linen tablecloths and a spectacular fretwork aluminium ceiling, offers a rarefied contrast to the livelier cocktail area. Outside, a lushly planted terrace commands spectacular views of the City.
Tony Fleming, Angler’s Executive Chef, considers the restaurant’s design an intrinsic part of the experience.
